It is a familiar scene for any driver: you are cruising down the highway at dusk, and suddenly the windshield looks like a Jackson Pollock painting of bug splatters. You hit the washer fluid, the wipers swipe, and you are left with a blurry, smeared mess that is even worse than before.

This is where standard wipers fail. They are designed for rain, but they cannot handle the other things our windshields face every day. Solving that exact problem is why Scrubblade was founded in 2007, with a mission to completely re-engineer the wiper blade.

Why Do Regular Wipers Fail to Clean Bugs and Road Grime?

A conventional wiper blade is essentially a single, smooth rubber squeegee. Its job is to form a seal against the glass to lift and push away liquid, and for clearing away water, it works great.
